The Inversely Related

February 26, 2016

Despite lampoon jokes and illusory illustration in the beliefs which people undertake in following or practicing any given organized religion by those who dislike religion and its adherents, every form of religion claims that they have recorded growth in membership enrollment as they show in their statistical data as they declare in many reports which people read. As many people are heard complaining on the road since they are met by preachers of gospel, and they are asked to listen to the words of the book, they also declare growth.

Although they do not put any membership resignations data from their given domain, it sounds that there is kind of political drama which they want to play since such way of looking and interpreting data could be manipulated, is used as weapon to attack those removals and resignation from such organized forms and ways of life since this is the one major way they can keep their given momentum and influence so as to keep their existence and survival. Followings are few news which such organized religions register in their given statistics as per resources obtained.

The two fastest-growing church bodies in the United States and Canada, according to a newly published report, are ones whose beliefs are known to conflict with traditional Christian teaching. Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, regarded by many Christians as cults, reported the largest membership increases in a year, according to the National Council of Churches’ 2008 Yearbook of American & Canadian Churches.

Although Jehovah’s Witnesses currently rank 25th in size with over 1.06 million members, they reported a 2.25 percent increase in membership since the publication of the 2007 Yearbook. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – also known as the Mormon church – grew 1.56 percent and is listed by the NCC as the fourth largest “church

Thirty years ago, the LDS Church had “137 separate congregations and about 22,000 members,” the release said. “Today, there are more than 1,600 congregations and half a million members — that’s 11 times more wards and branches and 20 times more members than in 1985.”

Corporate Scientology shouts from the rooftops that there are 10 million members worldwide (though this number has been being used since 2006 so it’s time for a new number).  The Scientology spokespeople waffle about how they arrive at this figure – but it is actually no mystery. Many years ago the figure was pegged at 4 million which was derived from a guess of how many names had EVER been in any org central files and then adding to it a theoretical number of how many people on average read a hard back book.

Is growth in numbers an indication of real growth such organized religions undertake? Is increase in statistical data or numbers tell real end of their given goal? What does number in such given case tell? Does number tell the quality of life of such organized religion? How? How can numbers dictate growth of any organized religion? If all claim that they have increase in statistical data, does it mean that they have achieved their good goal or end? How?

The concept of science in relation to quality and quantity aspects of life state that quantity plays great role in determining any given quality and could be directly or inversely related as per the nature of the matter of any aspect in which increase or decrease in quantity does affect the quality of any given aspect of life. Quantity is in most cases inversely related with quality they have opposing relationship with each other as there is more quantity, there is less quality.

For example, when more dose is added in formulating medical drugs, as more than the limit is put, the quality and purpose of the drug is lots and it could be a poison than medicine. As more spices are put in preparing any given food, its taste could be lost and it could not be tasty and delicious. Hence quantity affects the quality of any given matter. As more numbers of passengers are on train or bus, suffocation could come, it does not make the journey comfortable and enjoyable too.

The same is true in membership of the enrollment people do have in joining any given form of life such as any organized religion as more people are into such given domain, the quality of life of such given domain is under jeopardy since it is not possible to think and to make that everyone should think and behave in similar way and manner and certain deviations from the norm within such given domain is evident. Hence, systems of life adjust themselves as per the change in the nature and character of adherents which they are joined and the only way they have to maintain their given membership is by making certain plastic surgery to the systems of life so as to keep and maintain the balance within the system.

As more number of people do enroll, the quality of life and the objective of any given claim is under question since more numbers of enrolment do put danger as the quality of life and they could fall apart. Since diverse people with diverse background come, new and different needs arise which require to an engine overhaul of system otherwise it is not possible to sustain as such kinds of growth in numbers could destroy the quality of life as the new needs are not met. In such given case, increase in quantity mean less in quality as to its extinction of the original quality if such increase is not properly managed and appropriately handled too.

The Great Reflection

February 25, 2016

There were two TV series films which I watched with great interest and enthusiasm while I used to live in Israel ten years ago. These movies are, “Sex and The city” and “Friends”. Both are very interesting since they deliver very profound thinking and practical ideals not only about life in America, but also to any citizen in the world. They inspired me lot while I used to live in abroad and they removed the kinds of boredom things which I was supposed to face since such given movies are not only entertaining but also educative and inspiring about life too. Thank You Hollywood!!

Recently, I was into YouTube, watching the reunion of the actors in the movie, FRIENDS, in which five of them attended that given gathering and one was in absence due to personal commitment. This reunion made think that it is continuation of the movie itself that ended and it also made me realize and remember those good and unforgettable memories I had obtained while watching it. The kind of paradox that exist between the movie and I was I watched it alone, not with any types of friends. But the move inspired a lot was very helpful at that given point of life.

The movie made me think and reflect on many aspects of personal and social lives which an individual should carry on, not only in America, but as individual at any given point of life who live at any corner of the earth too since it delivers a greater perspective on how other people are not only useful but also essential to one another life and plan that people should undertake in life since having peoples company add certain kind of color and flavor to one’s life and it encourages people to appreciate life and get inspired by life too.

This is one of the profound bestowals of Hollywood since such movies add not only perspective and certain dimensions on people understanding and appreciation about life, but they also clear confusions and conflicts that do exist between people society, institutions and individuals too. Amongst the confusions one personally had, in which this particular movie cleared, one’s misconception and misunderstanding about life in America.

I was told that life in America is about individualism, to the extent as one heard a person saying, you cannot talk to person next to you without his/her permission and the kind of like things in which there are many things like, you cannot do this or that, and one asked the person, what about talking to myself, and that person stared. In any case, the movie delivered profound direction and dimension that communal life in America is also possible in fact by far greater sense and beauty as well.

Sex and the city is not only about sex, but on how people think and perceive sex. It is about the philosophy of sex and the rationale individuals carry behind sex and sexual feelings which people have in life. It in cases opens the appetite of sex and as it closes too since such are part and processes of life. It gives an idea on how sex determines individual destiny and affects their daily routines and even their future life plans too. It gives an interesting perception and attitude which varied people have in relation to sex, and their given state of mind and various types and stages of processes they pass in relation to the thinking and doing of sex. The movie relates the natural gift every human being are bestowed by nature—sex—to any given individual life along with the fact that how such natural gift can be articulated and understood in life too.

When art and any given related art works fill the vacuum that exist in any given society, its effect and purpose will be magnificent. It survives in people hearts and mind forever. Such art works does not mean they repeat what societies are doing in daily basis, they are not like replays people watch on soccer game on a TV since art is beyond mirror due to the fact that it gives direction, and insight; art works give certain thinking on how things should be done and be, since such types of art works are not talking and moving photographs.

When art is used for propaganda, they lose meaning and direction since they could misdirect and misguide individuals to wrong ends and disappointments as Socialism and other related social systems have done in life. When art works are used to deliver profound insight and understanding about life, it makes most people to appreciate and admire life and hence, their existence is weighty and highly important. Those actors who participate in such areas are highly respected and praiseworthy since they are not instruments or bullets of propaganda, but instruments and rays of wisdom and insight.

The significant element for art to be instrumentality of insight and wisdom is the political mindset of society’s structure in which freedom is the core aspect any given social dynamics to entertain and art is the reflection of society’s political and social dynamics. Free society thinks and behaves in free way and this does not mean that thinking and behaving in free way violating other people right and freedom. Everyone respects everyone and the amount and type of freedom that exist in such social dynamics know the limit.

When suppression of freedom and rights are going on in every society, profound and imaginative art works cannot be entertained and exercised lively and freely. Art is about insight and thinking; insight and thinking are directly related to the ideas and practicality of the concept of freedom; the amount and type of insight contained in any given art work is also reflection of the freedom factor to which such people or society possess. In such given social dynamics, where freedom is restricted, such types of art works live, beautifully and comfortably, in jail since the amount and the type of freedom such art work demands is under question.

Qualm—Certainty

February 23, 2016

They say, the beginning and end of all knowledge is the knowledge of God. In another aspect, they also say, God is unknowable essence and reality. In such paradox world and way of life—contradicting and confusing statement—doubt is legitimate thinking and belief which people should undertake since society and generations are in cases shaped with such kinds of puzzling and gainsay thinking and belief vaccines on daily basis. Hence, it is legitimate to doubt in such manner since such kinds of doubt can give birth to clarity. Searching for truth and meaning for life starts from such kinds of doubts.

Doubt is a path and state of mind that leads to true faith and certainty in systems and ways of life where confusion and contradictions are the becoming nature of systems and ways of life in this world. Doubt is what an inquisitive and investigative mind requires in order to find out the truth of anything and everything. Doubt is reality that every true seeker of the truth should be adorned and decorated with so as to come to the correct and pivot point of the truth. Doubt is true state of being for searching for the truth.

Doubt is a turning point which everyone should come about in world trick and tricky aspects of life are going on in any given social dynamics since the only instrument and weapon people can come about in order to find out the truth is when they doubt everything in such systems of life otherwise they live tricking themselves and tricking other as well and no significant change can come to place. Hence, people should doubt in order to obtain some kind of clarity in life and clear system and path in life. Doubt is prelude to search for true meaning in life since it clarifies confusing and contradicting aspects in life.

Doubt needs state of mind; doubt requires a perspective; doubt is a means to searching after the truth; doubt is conscious reality that is borne after knowing something which people cannot describe in adequate terms and conditions; doubt demands capacity; doubt rejects blind faith and obedience towards something or any given authority; doubt is one of the corner stone which this world is founded upon and created. Doubt does not mean rejecting plain truth, but questioning point of confusions and conflicts. When there is no doubt, there is no truth at all. People cannot doubt on something unless they know something and it is a sign of awareness on something.

The famous French philosopher, Rene Descartes, lived from 1596–1650. He was easily the most important philosopher of the seventeenth century and is one of the most significant philosophers in history. This “Father of Modern Philosophy” was a Catholic who spent most of his time in Protestant Holland. His most famous works were Discourse on Method, which was written in plain French, not academic Latin, and Meditations on First Philosophy. Descartes believed he had a divine call for philosophical ideas. On a winter day in 1619, while serving in the Emperor’s army, he conceived the idea of reforming human learning. That night he had three dreams that he regarded as prophetic signs for his divine vocation.

Descartes was dissatisfied with all previous studies of philosophy. He was frustrated that there was not one point of philosophy that could not be disputed. As a professional mathematician, Descartes wanted to root philosophy in the same certainty that mathematics had. Thus, he wanted to establish a starting point for philosophy that was as certain as 2+2=4. For him, once this certain starting point could be established then a system of philosophy could be constructed from this foundation.

As Descartes began his pursuit for the starting point of philosophy, he decided that he needed to rid himself of anything that could be doubted. Thus, he started with “radical doubt.” For Descartes, even our five senses could not be trusted to give us a certain understanding of reality. In fact, Descartes said he even had to doubt that his own body existed. “What if I think I am sitting in a chair by this stove, but in reality I’m only dreaming?” he said. “Maybe there is an evil demon playing a trick on my senses,” said Descartes. “I may think I am sitting in this chair by a stove in a room, but the demon may be tricking me.

In order to reach to defined clarity, one has to doubt everything since clarity gives birth after confusion. Khalil Gibran said, perplexity is the sign of knowledge in which the delusions which people come about at any given point of life is a turning point to the clarity they are going to reach at some given point later. Every system of life is established on the ground that they have doubted existing or previous ways and systems of life ones and they were not satisfied with existing systems though whatever claim they make, and they come up with new and different ways of life such as Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and all other systems and ways of life.

When people become certain about unknown aspects of life, one here doubts since one thinks that it is not possible to be definite with things that are unknowable, but people can give their own speculative judgment and view. In this aspect, there are two things that are unknowable, the first one is the primal will, which can be changing thru times as the human mind progresses and unravels such mysteries as the amount of things know to the human mind increases, the amount of matters that are unknown will also increase too.

Hence, it is not all possible to know the full content and nature of the primal cause of creation; which is not possible at all; the second ones are those creations of the primal causes—laws, mysterious aspects and other given creations—which are not yet known to the human mind as the human mind reaches to its own maturity and higher level of imagination, such things can be knowable in relative terms to the human mind.

For example, the sun can be known by the rays of the sun, whose manifestations are heat and light. The primal cause can be known to certain extent by the laws, creations and other mysterious aspects of life which people discover and know by their own good time. In this case, not knowing such law or mysterious aspects of life do not tell such things exist as few people unravel certain mysteries or laws of life and knowing few mysteries or law of such creation should not lead that the primal cause is already knowable.

And thru time and with the availability of adequate instruments with such aspects and realities of life, such matters can be proven right or wrong. In such scenario of life, when there are huge building complexes and numerous memberships in relation to matters that are considered as unknowable reality, such as God, such image of having such given complexes should not lead and confuse people to an understanding in connection with the identity and knowablity of God, due to the fact that such system and way of life could not escape from being mere wild conjecture of the unknown, and they are just simply reflection and assumptions of their own perception.

Assumptions can be true or false and they can be verified thru time in objective and realistic manner as time permits. The delusions such people have in life is considered as source of knowledge of everything whereas deprivation such speculative judgments are considered as the worst ignorance of all. It sounds that the definition and understanding of ignorance and knowledge are interchanged or misunderstood as per such given context since people are considered as knowledgeable since they know something that can give sense to the rational mind or human senses, not for their given speculative and ordinary judgment and consciousness.

Doubt should germinate from such given context of the systems and ways of life since such realities and understanding are created by the human mind centuries and ages ago; the good news is, in today, it is the rational mind that has power over blind faith since it is not time to believe in everything in blind manner and way, but rather it is time to think and believe in rational and conscious manner. The God that is created out of higher rational, with deeper contemplation, is absolutely better and greater than the God created out of blind faith and blind thinking. This is obvious.

The Two factors!!

February 22, 2016

Plato said reality consists of two realms. First, there is the physical world, the world that we can observe with our five senses. And second, there is a world made of eternal perfect “forms” or “ideas.” Forms, according to Plato are perfect templates that exist somewhere in another dimension, but he does not tell us where. These forms are the ultimate reference points for all objects we observe in the physical world. They are more real than the physical objects you see in the world.

For example, a chair in your house is an inferior copy of a perfect chair that exists somewhere in another dimension. A horse you see in a stable is really an imperfect representation of some ideal horse that exists somewhere. In both cases, the chair in your house and the horse in the stable are just imperfect representations of the perfect chair and horse that exist somewhere else.

Bearing this in mind, one can deduce that this world is world of imperfection, and what one could do in here is to strive for perfection, to the best of everything, not only with tools and instruments that are provide up to now, but also with one’s imaginative faculty and intuitive power, which is reflection of the perfect world which we do not know. In such case, what imaginative minds could do is they see the beyond realities and facts, which are considered as theories or assumptions, and they could be ridiculed. When they are ridiculed, it is good sign that they are truthful and correct at sometime in the future.

This could lead to an understanding that everyone is searching and finding for the perfect and true self on daily manner since the perfect self does exist somewhere else. Everyone drives and they go between many paths and cross sections of life due to keen desire and interest they have for life and they employ different kinds of approaches to finding the perfect self and oneself in their given reality. People could choose all kinds paths and mechanisms for life so that they can reach, govern or find such true or perfect self by their own accent and style of life which they have chosen in their given existence in here. The point in here is that do the path or mechanism which they employ help them to reach to that given perfect point or self which they aspire, that they should answer to their own.

In order to find out the accuracy and truthfulness of such kinds of mysterious phenomena of life, this world has undertones its own limitation since there are two basic factors that limit such mysteries not to be understood or comprehended as they are. The first one is that mysterious aspects of realities of life cannot permit anyone who passes by them to befittingly understand and accept them as true since they are mysteries and they need perspectives and mindset. The second one is that such mysteries cannot be proven right or wrong since the tools and instruments this world has at hand cannot sufficiently prove them right or wrong due to tools’ inadequacy to prove them.

For instance, Albert Einstein theory of the gravitational waves, which age more than 100 years, are proven right and detected recently though he was ridiculed at the time. Now, professionals in the field had developed instrument to verify this theory and they cannot prove such view as wrong since it becomes self evident now. The point behind such story is that there are certain realities that are beyond ordinary human conception and what this world could deliver since this world does not have adequate tools or instruments to prove such aspects of life as true or false, and this does not mean that such things do not exist or they are not true, due to inadequacy of instruments at hand, there are mysteries and realities of life that cannot be proven due to time factor.

And hence, few people could come up with powerful imagination, they could tell something and the whole world could give its back to them but as time goes by, things change, the whole world will be after their back and they follow as to what they deliver since they have truth far beyond than everything and everyone. This is one of the becoming natures of this world since the drama behind such incident, at one aspect, is that this world is governed by few ambitious and egoistic personalities who do not want to accept whatever thing that they do not like or they do not want, but they should.

The other aspect and case is that the ignorance factor since they have no adequate scale of measurement to testify such people as wrong or right.  And they prefer to go by the usual sentiment and thinking that accepting certain mysteries and realities of life due to the fact if such given aspect of life do affect them, or if they have deceived or follow wrong way of life, and as such new and different mysteries and realities of life could prove them wrong, and out of fear of the new and different ones, they prefer to stick to the usual ones as there is saying which goes like, the known devil is better than the what the unknown angel deliver, and such saying is derived out of the fear of the new ones, at one given aspect, which is an outcome of fear of having change in life.

The theatrical events and happenings of life are going on its way since life goes on by two ways or approaches. The first one is on what people can deliver, since they can plan and implement and the other one is there is mysterious phenomena that goes far beyond the conception and comprehension of human thinking and imagination, whose cause is still unknown. The limited mind can go by its limited thinking and way of life, where as the unlimited one does have its own way of operating and doing things since none can interfere in such forces and undertaking. It is pretty much good that there are certain things people, government or whatever worldly and earthly forces cannot prevent and control and this makes life on the earth quite interesting and fascinating too.

Altruism—Kindness or Beyond Kindness!!

February 16, 2016

Does altruism exist in today’s life? How does it exist? What triggers or motivate people to be altruistic? What are the factors or components behind altruistic thinking and practices? Is there any big difference that exists between altruism and kindness? How do they differ? What does it mean by altruism? Is altruism a philosophical concept or religious doctrine and dogma? Does altruism possess any given citizenship, color, race, ethnicity, religion or any given category or class which people who practice belong? Why do people prefer to become altruist? Is altruism connected to concept of socialism? What are the consequences of altruism?

Altruism or selflessness is the principle or practice of concern for the welfare of others. It is a traditional virtue in many cultures and a core aspect of various religious traditions and secular worldviews, though the concept of “others” toward whom concern should be directed can vary among cultures and religions.

Altruism can be distinguished from feelings of loyalty, in that whilst the latter is predicated upon social relationships, altruism does not consider relationships. Much debate exists as to     whether “true” altruism is possible in human psychology. The theory of psychological egoism suggests that no act of sharing, helping or sacrificing can be described as truly altruistic, as the actor may receive an intrinsic reward in the form of personal gratification. The validity of this argument depends on whether intrinsic rewards qualify as “benefits”. The actor also may not be expecting a reward. The term altruism may also refer to an ethical doctrine that claims that individuals are morally obliged to benefit others. Used in this sense, it is usually contrasted with egoism, which is defined as acting to the benefit of one’s self.

Evolutionary scientists speculate that altruism has such deep roots in human nature because helping and cooperation promote the survival of our species. Indeed, Darwin himself argued that altruism, which he called “sympathy” or “benevolence,” is “an essential part of the social instincts.” Darwin’s claim is supported by recent neuroscience studies, which have shown that when people behave altruistically, their brains activate in regions that signal pleasure and reward, similar to when they eat chocolate (or have sex).

What is the moral code of altruism? The basic principle of altruism is that man has no right to exist for his own sake, that service to others is the only justification of his existence, and that self-sacrifice is his highest moral duty, virtue and value. Do not confuse altruism with kindness, good will or respect for the rights of others. These are not primaries, but consequences, which, in fact, altruism makes impossible. “It is selfish to pursue your own wishes, you must sacrifice them to the wishes of others”—end up by saying: “It is selfish to uphold your convictions, you must sacrifice them to the convictions of others.

The irreducible primary of altruism, the basic absolute, is self-sacrifice—which means; self-immolation, self-abnegation, self-denial, self-destruction—which means: the self as a standard of evil, the selfless as a standard of the good. Altruism declares that any action taken for the benefit of others is good, and any action taken for one’s own benefit is evil. Thus the beneficiary of an action is the only criterion of moral value—and so long as that beneficiary is anybody other than oneself, anything goes.

Even though altruism declares that “it is more blessed to give than to receive,” it does not work that way in practice. The givers are never blessed; the more they give, the more is demanded of them; complaints, reproaches and insults are the only response they get for practicing altruism’s virtues (or for their actual virtues). Altruism cannot permit a recognition of virtue; it cannot permit self-esteem or moral innocence. Altruists are concerned only with those who suffer—not with those who provide relief from suffering, not even enough to care whether they are able to survive. When no actual suffering can be found, the altruists are compelled to invent or manufacture it.

Some unphilosophical, eclectic altruists, invoking such concepts as “inalienable rights,” “personal freedom,” “private choice,” have claimed that service to others, though morally obligatory, should not be compulsory. The committed, philosophical altruists, however, are consistent: recognizing that such concepts represent an individualist approach to ethics and that this is incompatible with the altruist morality, they declare that there is nothing wrong with compulsion in a good cause—that the use of force to counteract selfishness is ethically justified—and more: that it is ethically mandatory.

The social system based on and consonant with the altruist morality—with the code of self-sacrifice—is socialism, in all or any of its variants: fascism, Nazism, communism. All of them treat man as a sacrificial animal to be immolated for the benefit of the group, the tribe, the society, the state. Soviet Russia is the ultimate result, the final product, the full, consistent embodiment of the altruist morality in practice; it represents the only way that that morality can ever be practiced. Altruism is incompatible with freedom, with capitalism and with individual rights. One cannot combine the pursuit of happiness with the moral status of a sacrificial animal.

If a man accepts the ethics of altruism, he suffers the following consequences (in proportion to the degree of his acceptance):

  • Lack of self-esteem—since his first concern in the realm of values is not how to live his life, but how to sacrifice it.
  • Lack of respect for others—since he regards mankind as a herd of doomed beggars crying for someone’s help.
  • A nightmare view of existence—since he believes that men are trapped in a “malevolent universe” where disasters are the constant and primary concern of their lives.
  • And, in fact, a lethargic indifference to ethics, a hopelessly cynical amorality—since his questions involve situations which he is not likely ever to encounter, which bear no relation to the actual problems of his own life and thus leave him to live without any moral principles whatever.

Excerpts from The Ominous Parallels, by Leonard Peikoff.

Why do People Change!?

February 15, 2016

Life on the earth is quite interesting for many reasons. Amongst the main reason, in relation to any ordinary individual life, one does interact with another person, with society or community, with certain institutions, with system and way of life and with other objects of interaction and communication. In such interaction and communication, both good and bad things happen, and the crux lies not on the good and bad things which people face, but on how they handle such good and bad, in which the attitude plays major role in shaping such given individuals reality.

Is it the desire and seek for new things in life that drive people to have change or change is the very natural force and process of life that force people to make change in life? Can everyone escape change in life? Is change a natural duty people should perform or a choice which people should make in life? Who creates change, nature or people? Why do we need change in life, for good or bad? What does change in good or bad mean?

Change is natural process of life. Change is come by the choice which people make in life. Both nature and actions ad reactions of life on the earth will make people to think and make about change in life, change about any given individual life, social and community life, institutional and other given aspect of the human life. Change is a natural and fundamental process of life which individuals, communities and societies and institutions are bestowed by nature and process of life which they come about by the natural freewill and freedom which they are bestowed to exercise and practice in their daily undertakings.

And it sot possible to ask, why do people change since they change due to the fact that it is natural to change in thinking, behavior, feelings and emotion, in deeds and acts and other humanly related aspects, actions and reaction. In fact, it could be quite surprising when people do not change since change is one of the natural laws and forces of the human way of life. Unless and otherwise, people do not have better and other choices and alternatives of life, they change since they are human. Change is one of the spices of life that augment people’s appreciations for life. Everything changes.

In such process of life, the individual interacts with certain social system or way of life, be it religious or political, there are varied stages and processes of interaction. In such interaction, certain individual and system of life will live getting married together while others deviate and get divorce at any given point of their life. This does not mean that the individual is lost and dead, has no life as same is true to the system of life too. Both continue their journey of life in their own accent and fashion.

As part of one’s experience and gesture of life, especially in personal decisions people make in relation to the way and system of life, decisions and choices people do have two facets. The first one is the system of life cannot govern and dictate my life. The second one is the system of life can continue in way it seeks and it has no any positive or negative relationship as to the growth and decay of such system of life. When individuals deviate, this does not mean they declare holy war on such system of life since such personal decision is personal and contextual, and it varies as per one’s understanding and maturity.

To elucidate this matter further, when one decides to be follower of certain system of life, the main rational is not to contribute to the growth of such system of life, but such system of life is worthwhile to practice in one’s life since it has constructive impact in one’s way of life and thinking. This decision does have its own effect on the growth of such system of life which is automatic. The purpose why one decides to be part and parcel of any system of life is due to the fact one is primarily beneficiary from such system of life.

The same is true when one decides to stop practicing and being member of any given way and system of life, the main rational is that such system of life is not worth to practice and follow, which do have an automatic effect and consequence on its undertaking and goals it set to achieve. The purpose why one stops practicing such system of life is not to attack such system of life, but rather, one is not beneficiary from such system of life afterwards due to one’s own reason and thinking. One could sacrifice as to stay in it with compromise, as there is affection but as there is no affection, there is no point for sacrifice.

In this case, the individual is free to decide which way to go, it is not to the system of life to tell, due to the fact that the concept of freewill and freedom should strictly adhered and such kinds of personal decisions make any given system and way of life to think further and make its own contemplation on working machinery of the systems and on its failures it makes in violating individual freedom and rights, and this can happen if the system is wise, since such decision is clear indication that system and ways of life is overriding and is manipulative of  individual freedom and rights even if the individual is member of any given social group for decades.

In such scenario of life, there are two types of individuals that exist in any given system and way of life, as being member of any given social group. The first ones are those individuals who submit their own everything to the system and way of life which they practice and follow. The second ones are those individuals who cannot do such a thing, but they practice any given doctrine since that doctrine deliver some kind of benefit to them and society, but they are not in position to submit their lives and properties as others do.

In the first case of followers, they make all kinds of sins and mistakes in life since they are human even if they deliver all kinds of things they have to such system, they could probably use such sacrifice they make as cover and means of justifying their human failures too, but in later types of individuals, such act of sacrifice to system and way of life is not there, but they are understood by the system as part-time followers and lovers of any given cause which they follow. Both kinds of people exist in all systems and ways of life.

In relation to thinking, deeds, ethics and other human aspects, both kinds of people could have similar or closer perspectives and approaches in life and people could not see many differences in their personal lives. Although those who sacrifice many things could be understood as people of better and greater capacity than those who do not, life cannot be easy as people find out something which they do not like to practice and follow in due course of time as they change and mature in thinking and understanding. And this is one of the natural freedom and freewill which people are entitled to have in life.

In reality, those who deliver everything to such system of life, if such system is promoting injustice, they facilitate such injustice as the vice versa is true.  As Henry Thoreau said, the best place for just people within unjust system is prison. Here prison has ironic meaning since they live suppressed under such system as one good reason and the state of being is in prison; the second one is just people by their very nature do revolt against any system since they are not patient to see injustice and they cannot be tolerant toward any unjust thinking and activity within any give system and way of life they respectively belong. When they revolt, they could be put in prison is the other aspect.

Why do people change in thinking and outlook and deviate from any given way and system of life is discussed before but as general category and factors of reason, such matter has dual facets. The first one is individuals change as they get mature in thinking and perspective, different experience and exposure get in touch with them, and the types of experience and exposures which they face in life do determine the types of change they make in life. The second ones is the system and way of life by itself does also change in due course of time and certain deviations do visit such system and way of life.

Rudimentary science principle states that every action has its own equal and opposite reaction. In such cases, such changes individuals make in life is compatible with that of system of life, they can go together since they can travel at same frequency and wave length, as there is gap and spaces in such nature of changes between the individual and system of life, they get divorce at any give pint since the law of attraction does not take place. This is very natural and automatic and this happens for the good of both, not to merit one since such process of life is healthy and acceptable.

Both, the individual and system of life, are naturally free to change and they have freewill to change since change is the very nature of life in this world. In fact, the problem comes when they do not even change. However, the types of change they make do affect with each other in which the will factor is another aspect that determine in creating certain connection and continuity with one another. While such change is come, the connection between the two will also change, in cases, it could get lose, and in another case, it could get stronger.

When such change does affect the nature and character of any given and system of life in significant manner, individuals’ revolt and make their own decisions and what we call revolution could explode within such system of life. When the change is done in way that it cannot affect the very fundamentals, nature and character of system of life, individuals could compromise and continue with same frequency level to the system and way of life they respectively belong. However, the matter and idea of significance is left as to the context of and mercy of individuals understanding and interpretations and perception of life and the system of life too. This is very personal too!!

Art—Reason Vs Emotion!?

February 15, 2016

Art is a diverse range of human activities in creating visual, auditory or performing artifacts – artworks, expressing the author’s imaginative or technical skill, intended to be appreciated for their beauty or emotional power. In their most general form these activities include the production of works of art, the criticism of art, the study of the history of art, and the aesthetic dissemination of art. Art may be characterized in terms of mimesis (its representation of reality), expression, communication of emotion, or other qualities. During the Romantic period, art came to be seen as “a special faculty of the human mind to be classified with religion and science”. Though the definition of what constitutes art is disputed and has changed over time, general descriptions mention an idea of imaginative or technical skill stemming from human agency and creation.

Reason is the capacity for consciously making sense of things, applying logic, establishing and verifying facts, and changing or justifying practices, institutions, and beliefs based on new or existing information. It is closely associated with such characteristically human activities as philosophy, science, language, mathematics, and art and is normally considered to be a definitive characteristic of human nature. The concept of reason is sometimes referred to as rationality and sometimes as discursive reason, in opposition to intuitive reason.

Reason or “reasoning” is associated with thinking, cognition, and intellect. Reason, like habit or intuition, is one of the ways by which thinking comes from one idea to a related idea. For example, it is the means by which rational beings understand themselves to think about cause and effect, truth and falsehood, and what is good or bad. It is also closely identified with the ability to self-consciously change beliefs, attitudes, traditions, and institutions, and therefore with the capacity for freedom and self-determination.

Emotion, in everyday speech, is any relatively brief conscious experience characterized by intense mental activity and a high degree of pleasure or displeasure. Scientific discourse has drifted to other meanings and there is no consensus on a definition. Emotion is often intertwined with mood, temperament, personality, disposition, and motivation. In some theories, cognition is an important aspect of emotion. Those acting primarily on emotion may seem as if they are not thinking, but mental processes are still essential, particularly in the interpretation of events. For example, the realization of danger and subsequent arousal of the nervous system (e.g. rapid heartbeat and breathing, sweating, muscle tension) is integral to the experience of fear. Other theories, however, claim that emotion is separate from and can precede cognition

In psychology of art, the relationship between art and emotion has newly been the subject of extensive study. Emotional or aesthetic responses to art have previously been viewed as basic stimulus response, but new theories and research have suggested that these experiences are more complex and able to be studied experimentally. Emotional responses are often regarded as the keystone to experiencing art, and the creation of an emotional experience has been argued as the purpose of artistic expression. Research has shown that the neurological underpinnings of perceiving art differ from those used in standard object recognition. Instead, brain regions involved in the experience of emotion and goal setting show activation when viewing art.

There is debate among researchers as to what types of emotions works of art can elicit; whether these are defined emotions such as anger, confusion or happiness, or a general feeling of aesthetic appreciation. The aesthetic experience seems to be determined by liking or disliking a work of art, placed along a continuum of pleasure–displeasure. However, other diverse emotions can still be felt in response to art, which can be sorted into three categories: Knowledge Emotions, Hostile Emotions, and Self-Conscious Emotions.

As such drama of life is going on, one wonders as to where art lies in which, is this reason or emotion that dictate such given scope, such as painting, music, movies, theater and the like. Emotional behavior, thinking and feelings are essential and important in order to come up with any given art work in which emotion drives any given artistic work. Emotion is strong feeling deriving from one’s circumstances, mood, or relationships with other instinctive or intuitive feeling as distinguished from reasoning or knowledge.

While such emotion is focused on doing something, it gets its own form and organization and passion get birth. Passion is very strong feeling about something in which it is an intense emotion, compelling enthusiasm or desire to something, And it is not possible to have any given artistic work without passion. And passion is the drive that creates any art work.

In such light of views, art is more into emotion than reason though reason is also important. It can be allegorically put as taking any given automobile as one case, in which passion is the engine of any automobile, as fuel is connected to reason. The place where reason best lives peacefully is in the world of systematic and organized thinking such as in the world of scientific research and arguments.
